Company TOS Kuřim was established in the 1942 and it was from the beginning pathfinder for the new technology introduction into production process and its trademark become the worldwide known symbol of the reliable and precise long life machines. Since the 2005 the company TOS Kurim is the part of the group ALTA Brno. The production programme is focused to large milling machines production and machining centers, enabling machining of heavy, big dimension and shape complicated parts from up to five sides using continuous 5-axis control. The main products are machining centers with traveling column and gantry type machining centers. The production programme covers also technological workplaces tailor-made according customer needs. The main technological advantage of TOS Kuřim machines is the system of exchangeable spindle heads. The company strategy is customer oriented philosophy, where on the beginning is a identification of the customer needs and on the end is the after-guarantee maintenance. The machine are subject of permanent innovation including components, systems and accessories delivered by the world-renowned suppliers. The main applications for machines are at heavy machinery, power engineering, armament and aviation industry, production of heavy construction machines and mining technology, at ship and railway industry.
